The month of December went by extremely fast in my opinion. I feel like just yesterday it was Thanksgiving and somehow I woke up on Christmas morning and it was Winter. I didn't really get a chance to experience December until it was nearly over though. But here are a few of my favorites from the month!
Thing to watch on Netflix : Flight
This movie was based on a true story that happened a while back. Not to mention it has one of my favorite actors, the ever so handsome, Denzel Washington in it. The story is essentially about a troubled yet funny alcoholic pilot that saves a plane full of people because of a faulty plane part, whilst heavily under the influence on things more than just alcohol. It’s about his story and the dealings associated with addiction. I highly recommend watching this if you want something entertaining from start to finish.
Food : Braised Beef Tongue Toast from Russell House Tavern with : Taleggio, Soft Poached Farm Egg.
Unfortunately I was too hungry to snap a personal picture (grabbed one off the interwebz) but I loved every bite of it. I know beef tongue may seem a little bit odd, but it’s really really tasty! Trust me on this. If I were to order it again I would definitely order it sans cheese, but that’s just me.
Movie I Saw : American Hustle
The moment I saw the trailer for this movie I knew I’d enjoy it. It’s about a couple who cons people into using their “connections” to get money. Can’t say anything more without giving it away. Although it was a bit long for my liking, I would definitely recommend seeing it if you want a good story played out by some pretty rockin actors. Plus you get to see a fat Chrisitan Bale with an awesome.awful combover.
Article of Clothing : Tights.
I’ve been pretty obsessed with tights this month. I’m not a pantyhose connoisseur, so I just buy them from the drugstore, or whatever’s on sale at Marshall’s or something. They’re great if it’s not that cold out and you’re daring enough to wear something other than pants outside. Or as my dad calls it, insane.
Cocktail/Beer : Kronenbourg Blanc
My boyfriend introduced this to me a while.while back and I've been hooked ever since. It's pretty light and it goes down a bit too easy sometimes. It's really refreshing, I could drink about 5 of these. Cheers!
