Really Late 2014 Favorites.

yep, I'm late, sue me.

Thing to watch : Jersey Shore reruns.
Okay, feel free to judge me all you want, but I genuinely like to have this show on in the background sometimes. There’s something eerily calming about the chaos that is, Jersey Shore.

My real answer would have to be Survivor’s Remorse though.
My boyfriend and I started watching this when it first came out mainly because LBJ is an executive producer but also because the cast is pretty great too.

The show takes place in ATL but the characters are all from my neck of the woods, that is, Dorchester, MA. Essentially it’s about a basketball player who catches a big break and escapes a life of drugs/crime and is the family’s golden ticket to the other side of the fence. Definitely a good watch if you want something that’s entertaining, has soul, and is an easy watch.

Food : seaweed salad.
I used to think this stuff was disgusting but I’d be lying if I said that it wasn’t my go-to when ordering at a Japanese restaurant. Everywhere that my cousin and I go, one of us usually orders it. We judge them on three things usually: portion, how green it is (oh we’ve seen some things, trust), and taste. Presentation is an afterthought, considering it is seaweed after all. Maybe I’ll start a seaweed salad tour…food for thought.

Movie I Saw : Babadouk
This movie is my favorite based off the sheer amount of entertainment it has provided after the fact. Essentially, it's about a mother and son who come into contact with a children's book that has a monster - babadouk - that then proceeds to haunt the shit out of them.

tl;dr - it's not really that scary but it's got a great title to make fun of (o:3

Article of Clothing : my new glasses.
I’ve been wanting to get a new pair of glasses for the longest time, I was just waiting to go to the eye doctor’s. Two words. Warby Parker. These were one of the first pairs that I tried on and I was sold. Let me know what you guys think! (I know I look like a hipster, and I’m okay with that)

Cocktail/Beer : Absolut Wild Tea (too soon?)
It tastes really good and it goes down smooth.

New Place : Artichoke (NYC)
I have a hard time getting impressed by pizza, but I cannot deny the quality and taste of the pizza here. You have to get a slice of artichoke, that’s a given. We also copped a slice of crab too.

Artist : Drake.
If you’re questioning why I picked this man, you should just stop reading. pointblank.
Aubrey Drake Graham.

Read : Gone Girl
I did the opposite of what normal people do, and I read the book after I saw the movie. In hindsight it wasn't really all that bad of an idea. insert cliche "the book was better" phrase here. - If you haven't seen the movie, and are interested in a story about a woman who is a complete and utter psychopath, then this is for you!

Want/Lust : a tan coat.
I’ve been wanting a nice tan coat for quite some time now, but I just can’t seem to find one that either 1, fits correctly or 2, is the right shade of tan. Please if you have any suggestions or tips please let me know about them.

Man : Karl Lagerfield - needs no defense.

Trend : kimonos
I’ve liked kimonos for a while now, and a part of me is really happy that they’re becoming trendy (because I can actually find them now). Of course the other part of me is annoyed that they’re trendy, but we don’t let that side out much. I’m planning on making my own, so stay tuned for a post about it (o:3

Tip : Don’t hold back.
I’m a firm believer of just going for things that you want. Whether it be an ice cream cone, a job, or a big life decision. Go forth with all your efforts.

keep it raw.kin
