I'm guarded.
I'm terrible at opening up.
I dislike the word vulnerable, and all that it entails. I associate it with weakness, as silly as that sounds.
I have a bitch face, but I don't see myself as being completely unapproachable (I hope).
I like to see myself as being pretty outgoing, despite my "condition"
There are very few people who know all of me, and in my mind.cerebral.brain there's a voice that says keep it that way.
Don't get me wrong, I've been in love.
No one wants to be with the person that doesn't need anyone.
And on the contrary, no one wants to be with someone who needs everybody.
Love and vulnerability go hand in hand.
Love is evil, it's dark and twisted and cold, and calm.
Before the storm, it's pure and graceful and tranquil for there's comfort knowing storms pass.
Love is once a lesson learned. I've come to believe it's not a skill we're born with, affinity maybe but not love.
It takes grave patience, understanding, compromise to be in love: and in turn vulnerable.
The first step is being vulnerable with yourself, getting to know your every move, every emotion. The better you know yourself the more energy you have to spend on learning those very things about another person. The more flaws you shed, the more room there is for growth.
Enjoy!
