Thing to watch : The Leftovers
I started watching this with my guy friends from high school the Sunday it premiered. One of them took a brip before the show started, and I’m not sure if I would recommend doing that haha. I’m still trying to slowly piece the plot.characters.shit together myself, but I can only imagine how hard it is if you’re under the influence.

I can’t really describe too much of it without giving some things away. But the premise is that there was a rapture, and 2% of the world population was “taken”, it’s set in a fictitious town in NYC. Justin Theroux is great, but it’s confusing.random.creepy (at times) as fuck.

Food : Ramen
I've been obsessed with ramen since I was a little girl. I would always ask my mom to add things in, and she would take it upon herself to use
real chicken stock - homemade of course. I've been trying to frequent all of the ramen places and I figured I owed it to myself and you guys to share with you one of my favorite comfort foods. Be sure to be on the lookout for the next stop on the kibsta Boston Ramen Tour. And feel free to shoot me a message with any additions (or subtractions) to the list!

Movie I Saw : X-Men Days of Future Past
I’ve always been a fan of the X-Men series. I think that having superpowers would be amazeballs, and borderline dangerous. But illmatic nonetheless.

I love this series, along with going to the movies en generalmente.

Article of Clothing : Sunnies.
I've never owned a pair of expensive sunglasses before - maybe I'll know I'm an actual grown up when I purchase a pair - for fear of losing.breaking.sitting on them. But I think that I may be in the (overdue) market for a pair.

Cocktail/Beer : shandy.

I was actually never really that big of a shandy girl, until this Summer really. I think I had my first one about two years ago, and wrote it off as bitchmade. But after giving it a take-two, I'm wit it. I'm a lover of all things made in-house, so if you know of any places that fit that descript. pass em along yo.

New Place : SoWa (open) Market
Okay, so this isn't exactly a "new" place for me. But I haven't really spoke about SoWa before on here, so I figured I should. For those of you who aren't familiar with the market that has everyone buzzing in the South End on Sundays, you're in for a great surprise!

This place has it all. From #veryrare vintage finds & fresh produce, to modern art & stealable dogs - I swear everyone who attends is just asking to have me steal em' - SoWa has something for everyone. Got stuck with the kids? There are plenty of things to amuse them, be it donuts from Union Sq. or spears form Grillos Pickles.

Artist : Young The Giant
I saw them at Firefly (post up soon!) and briefly at GovBall last year, and they're been growing on me ever since. If you're about to play music but nothing's coming to mind. Throw em' on, I promise they won't disappoint...this is usually on replay tho:

Read : Boston Globe (yes, this is what a cop out looks like, sue me.)

Want/Lust : Shwood Sunglasses
I'll admit, they don't look good on me, but a girl can dream right? My face is too small for their frames, so instead of looking fresh to death, I just look like I have a forest's-worth of wood between both ears.

Man : Tom Hardy.
Tom Hardy today, Tom Hardy tomorrow...I can't get enough of this dude. His accent, his hair, his...

Woman : Lake Bell
I fell for her during How To Make It In America (great show by the way), and whenever she pops up, I can't get enough. Not to mention that she's got great boobs.

Trend : Flavored Salts.
Yep, this is real y'all. From Tobasco salt, to smoked finishing salt, people are doing this. I can't deny that I'm sort of a big fan of this trend. Gotta step my salt game up.

Tip : Medium-rare is the only way you should be eating steak.
I was deep in the realms of the interwebs, and was probably looking up food related stuff, and came across this sentence uttered from a chef, whose name I can't recall right now. But I whole-heartedly agree with the dude. Medium-rare baby, not to be confused with "just rip off the horns and give it to me" - that saying is for fuckboys.

July.

Thing to watch : Satisfaction.
I started watching this with my coworker this month, and we both can't get no...(did you really think I wasn't gunna drop that line?) We love it. The premise of the show is about a guy named Neil and his wife Grace. Without ruining it, he essentially finds his wife paying for sex and decides to have a crack at being an escort himself! As a general rule of thumb, USA Network can usually do no wrong.

Food : chicken-fried rabbit (from Alden & Harlow) (o:3
Preface; I love bunnies. But got damn they're delicious. I had the pleasure of going to Alden & Harlow (finally isn't even the appropriate word doe). for the first time this month, and it's everything this article says it is. I'm going to return to do a full review for Things I've Eaten. but if take away one thing from this, get the rabbit.

It's chicken-fried, and the accouterment are spot on. They tell you to order 3-4 shareable plates between two people, and you should just get your own realtalk. It's so fucking good.

Movie I Saw : Lucy.
Granted this was also the only movie I watched this month, but still. Morgan Freeman, Scarjo, being able to access 100% of your brain. This movie was actually quite intellectual, or more so than I thought it was going to be.

The premise of the movie is that Lucy gets forced to traffic this drug that allows you to access parts of you brain that no one has been able to tap into until now. There are various benchmarks (30, 40, 50% etc.) that allow humans to take control, of themselves, others, elements etc. If you're a Through the Wormhole fan then I would probably recommend seeing this. That and the visuals are stunning.

Article of Clothing : (devil in a) white dress.
I've always been a fan of white. I love monochromatic wardrobes, and despite my attempts to wear and own more color, I keep going back to the neutrals. Expect an all white outfit montage sometime in the near future.

Cocktail/Beer : anything by Great Divide.
I was put on to this brewery by a friend, and I'm so glad that I was. Their logo and their labeling is near perfect, not to mention what's on the inside of the bottles too. I've only had the pleasure of trying a few of 'em, but trust that I'll be on the lookout for Great Divide at your local bar.

New Place : Ichiban.
Because Boston is still in the puritan age, and we're unable to do actual Happy Hour. Establishments will try to win people over by doing specials on food instead, and I'm sold. I've been passing this place for a while and never had the courage to go inside. My friend and I stopped by on a Sunday spent in the city to be pleasantly surprised by what we found.

Beers will run you about five bones, and unless you're ordering sake you get $8 worth of free food! It's an insane deal and if you're ever in the area please don't hesitate to stop in during Happy Hour.

Artist : Clean Bandit.
You're probably familiar with this one. watch the whole thing too.

I lovelove.love this group. They're from the UK, of course, and their so fucking creative.talented.brilliant. Their music videos keep you on your toes, and I can't get enough of the artists that they feature, and how each member has a different role in each song. I'm stoked to see them live in September.

Read : 1984 (let’s try this one more time)
I tried to re-boot this thing, but I keep getting stuck. My friend says I should just give up on it, but you know me.

Want/Lust : succulents.
My babies form Austin are in a better place; RIP. I saved one of the leaves and am trying to get it to grow but it's not looking too good as of now... Anyways, I stopped in Niche Urban Supply Co. recently, and have been hooked ever since. I had to leave before I traded my shoes for a vertical planter - for those that don't know what a vertical planter is, behold:

Man : Alexander Skarsgard.
aka Mr. Northman. He could get it any day this week amirite?

Woman : Sarah Jessica Parker.
okay, before you tell me that she's a horse and all this stuff. Look at her closet. She's famous for scoring Carrie's wardrobe as her own in Sex and the City, but she's always been a fashionista at heart. Not to mention, her bod is pretty killer. Strut on shoegal.

Trend : concrete jewelry.
I love unconventional stuff, from two-finger rings to fang necklaces (also known as the only things I wear) if it's weird, I'm interested. I can already tell that this is going to be a great trend.

If someone could tell me where I could find stuff like this, I'm down.

Tip : Today’s a good day to have a good day.
Is it not?

like I said, I've been going through some things. But I'm back. I love you all.

keep it raw.kin don't stop.
