I was lucky enough to be invited by one of the designers (crowd favorite) to this years LAUNCH. And couldn't have been more impressed by the collections. For those of you who aren't familiar with LAUNCH/Boston Fashion Week in general, feel free to check out the site.

they played this video in pieces - each designers part before their launch. It helped you get a sense of their personal style, where they were going with their line, their inspirations, it was helpful.

THE LAUNCH is a Boston Fashion Week program that is as much about education, mentorship, and community, as it is about great fashion. Each designer selected for THE LAUNCH is a recent graduate from one of the many respected fashion design programs in the region. Thanks to a collaboration with Fashion Group International of Boston, LAUNCH designers have had the benefit of being mentored by industry professionals to prepare and execute their presentations, which took place on opening night of Boston Fashion Week this year. Many companies and individuals generously shared their time, energy, resources, and exceptional talents putting the power of the industry behind this new generation of fashion designers. The LAUNCH designers make beautiful clothes, but they also have something to say. Learn about what is at the heart of what these new designers — Ty Sinnett, Maryanne Meservey, Chynna Pope, Dominique Quinque, and Jeffrey Dickerson — are looking to accomplish in fashion. We had so much fun getting to know these designers, and listening to their story. They have such promising careers ahead of them, so be sure to keep a look out for their name! Thank you to Boston Fashion Week for allowing us to be a part of this amazing event. Thank you Jay Calderín for the countless hours of work and dedication towards the launch. Thank you to Terri Mahn for her genius idea on introducing designers with a video. Thank you to Ben Taylor for the song usage. Jeffrey Dickerson, you are magnificent.

I wish I could have captured the amount of applause there was for all of the hard work that these designers put in. The show was surpassed all of my expectations, I cannot wait for next year! Congratulations to all of the designers, you are truly an inspiration.

From trunk shows to store openings, there's always something to do.

I saw his collection a couple year back when BFW was at the "Tent", and his line was impeccable. I was super excited that he went with an installation-type showcase. You can get up close and personal with the pieces and it's definitely more of a relaxed atmosphere - which I love.

the flawless Luke Aaron.

this store has really great menswear stuff! if you're ever in the South End I would say it's a must-go.

I shot some video/photos on my phone, but I didn't want to taint this post with too much shotty quality. And of course there were a bunch of events that I just went to without snapping any pics!

Marilyn Riseman, may you rest in Prada.
